Congratulations to Lynne Heathe, our Mother of the Year! The wife of Bro. John Heathe, she is mother to four and grandmother to sixteen. Her faithful service to our Lord — coordinating the Adoration Chapel, promoting devotion to His Divine Mercy, proclaiming His Word as weekday and Sunday lector, and championing the unborn — while taking care of the family He has blessed upon her is a model and example worthy of emulation.
Thank you to all the Brother Knights who helped out at the Pancake Breakfast this month and made it extra special for the Moms. Thanks to Bro. Americo and Maria Silva for the flowery touch!
At the General Meeting this Monday, we will be taking up a collection to assist the family of Bro. Jackson Valenzuela. Cheques can be made payable to his widow, Nora Valenzuela.
Your presence at the Prayer Vigil on Tuesday and Funeral Mass on Wednesday for Bro. Jackson will be a great source of comfort to the family.
Our Monthly Family Rosary at the Ripplinger residence has been moved to Wednesday, May 13, so people can attend the Prayer Vigil. A good move that is, as it coincides with the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.
But we have to be up early the next day for the carpool to Victoria for March for Life. Meet up at St. Paul Church parking lot at 6am so we can catch the 7am ferry at Tsawassen. We may have a couple of seats still available if you can make it. Let me know.
Bro. Francis Yong has been gathering the names for the JC Family Bowling Tournament happening on May 24 at the Zone. This will be a fun time for the kids and adults alike. $20 for adults, $10 for kids age 12 and under. Deadline to register is May 15. Please contact Francis 604-273-8175 /firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our daily Rosary continues and we have quite a bevy of regular attendees. Come and join. The weather has been beautiful and the roses surrounding our Blessed Mother’s Memorial for the Unborn remind us that Rosary means “a crown of roses”. Our Lady has revealed to several people that each time they say a Hail Mary they are giving her a beautiful rose and that each complete Rosary makes her a crown of roses.
May Mary our Mother obtain the graces we need from her Son!
